Chuka University is gearing up for its 12th graduation ceremony, and students and faculty members alike are preparing for a grand celebration. The university has officially announced that the graduation ceremony will take place on Friday, November 24th.
The central theme of this year's graduation is "Supporting National Economic Transformation Agenda through Higher Education Research, Innovation, and Community Development." Anticipation is building, as it is expected that a greater number of students will graduate this year across a variety of academic fields.
To ensure a smooth and successful graduation, all graduating students have received important instructions.
Firstly, they are advised to verify the accuracy and order of their names with the respective deans of faculties/schools. Additionally, they must fulfill all necessary requirements, including settling any outstanding fees, by Tuesday, October 31, 2023.
This is crucial to ensure their names are correctly included in the graduation list and that their certificates and transcripts are printed accurately.
In regards to graduation fees, candidates are expected to submit their bank slips either via email to student finance at studentfinance@chuka.ac.ke or physically to the student finance office by Tuesday, October 31, 2023.
The process of preparing for the ceremony also includes collecting academic attire and two invitation cards. This will take place from Monday, November 20th, to Wednesday, November 22nd, 2023.
It is essential to note that academic attire must be returned by Friday, December 15, 2023. A daily penalty of Ksh 500 will be imposed for any late returns.
Students are reminded to make fee payments into the designated bank accounts provided by the finance desk.
The rehearsal for the graduation ceremony is scheduled to occur at the University pavilion graduation square on Thursday, November 23, 2023, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. It is mandatory for all candidates to be in full academic regalia and to be seated by 9:00 am.
For those unable to attend the event in person, the graduation ceremony will be live-streamed on Chuka University's official Facebook page and will also be broadcast on live TV.
