This week from 25th to 27th March, Chuka University conducted a hackathon that brought students from computer science and applied computer science. The Vice-chancellor was in attendance on the first day when the hackathon began. He encouraged those present to strive to do their best in the hackathon
Students were expected to come up with a middleware that was expected to fetch data and manipulate data from the source to the endpoint. Students present used different languages such as Java, React, and Laravel. Middleware is software that acts as an intermediary between two applications or services to facilitate their communication. It can act as a data accumulator, translator, or just a proxy that forwards requests Middleware includes web servers, application servers, content management systems, and similar tools that support application development and delivery. A continuation of the same is expected to happen later this year in September at Chuka University.
