The transport sector in Kenya faces problems day by day as the extent in the dissatisfaction it raises to many keeps on growing daily across the country. These rise from poor state of roads being used ,lack of clear financial budgets to address the issues, and poor road use behavior from all users to all traffic authorities involved .As the days go on many lives are being claimed, properties destroyed as a result of not filling up the serious gaps in the transport sector.

Recently voices were raised condemning the poor state of roads around major neighborhoods in Nairobi and the bigger City in itself. These roads are rendered inefficient due to the major breakdowns in them constituting of potholes  .These poor state of these roads destroy vehicles , cause delays which build up traffic jams which consume the users time and on curbing the damages, much in their pockets is drained as a counter to the damages caused.

This year’s financial budget is facing a lot of struggling causing huge problems in major sectors including the transport sector  having issues unattended to. In an address to this the Nairobi County Government is set to put down  an 11 billion Kenyan Shillings upgrade program to address these issues on roads in Nairobi.

Across the Country the transport sector keeps on posing major threats to the safety of road users with a rising number of deaths recently. This is majorly caused either by poor road use behavior from the users to the authorities in-charge, or lack of clear and usable road components.

The limits of damages are unending as other major sectors in the country such as the manufacturing sector in delivering it’s goods also bear the damages. With a rise in the number of issues from the transport sector adequate measures should be taken by both users and authorities to ensure our transport sector is revived from its dangerous view which has also posed a threat to the  Country’s economy.

Roads do not only beautify our cities but also help in ensuring that our cities maintain a safe mobile state. This helps people carry out their transport engagements safely and without consuming too much time . A faulty transport sector poses a major threat to our country’s economy and as a remedy The Government should step up the years budget to reach out to the financial needs across all sectors ensuring a healthy and safe citizens and a thriving economy.
