In Many silent homes there are unseen battles, battle not fot just physical fighting or even due to financial constrains but of hormonal imbalance. As most people try to handle their difficult life situations hormonal imbalance can cause mood swings, fatigue anxiety and irritability disrupting their daily lives.
Hormonal imbalance refers to a condition where there is abnormality in levels of hormones in the body that's is the body has too much or too little of one or more hormones. Hormones are chemicals that co ordinates different functions in our bodies by carrying message through our blood to body organs and other tissues
One cause of hormonal imbalance is lack of exercise, this can lead to weight gain in human body and also insulin resistant leading to variation of hormonal level. Insufficient sleep can also lead to hormonal imbalance because it disrupts production of hormones which regulates appetite and Other factors like Age and medical condition like thyroid disorder can also lead to hormonal imbalance
Hormonal imbalance leads to various effects and one of them includes irregular periods in women. Women may receive irregular periods, heavy periods or even miss periods due to hormonal imbalance. This occurs when body produces excess androgen interfering with normal hormonal signal that regulates the cycle. This condition can cause some women develop low self esteem and feel very embarrassed for example when the receive heavy periods in public .Low libido in men is another effect which can be cause by hormonal imbalance due to thyroid disorder. This leads to decrease in sexual desires in men therefore creating distance between them and their partners and it can negatively affect their marriage.
Hormonal imbalance can also lead to mood regulation and emotional well being. When there is a an imbalance due to stress, life style or even medical condition it can lead to mood swings, anxiety and also irritability Which can disrupts persons' daily life.
There are various solutions and measures one can take to curb hormonal imbalance and one of them is regular exercise, this helps in maintaining healthy weight which improves insulin sensitivity to balance hormones. Eating balanced diet rich in fruits , vegetables, healthy fats and minimum proteins helps in regulating hormones level making it difficult for one to be a victim of hormonal imbalance. People should also ensure they have adequate sleep of 8-9 hours in order to for hormones to regulate appetite and stress
Since hormonal imbalance is becoming a silent struggle to many peopl it is advisable for people to avoid life styles which can lead to hormonal imbalance and practice healthy living styles.
